BEACON will consolidate and advance research on right-wing political ecologies of climate change, security and migration, and right-wing populism, contributing to monitoring and countering tendencies towards ecobordering and eco-fascism through academic-activist collaborations.

Biography

Lise is a PhD candidate in Human Geography at Uppsala University, Sweden. Her doctoral research project examines the mobilisations and articulations of place and “the local” within far-right ecological activism in France, primarily through ethnographic methods. More broadly, she is interested in the role of environmental and climate issues within contemporary appeal for neo-fascist activism and politics. She was previously a member of the Zetkin Collective which co-authored White Skin, Black Fuel: On the Dangers of Fossil Fascism (Verso, 2021), and recently co-edited the volume on Global Far-Right Ecologies: Trends, Issues and Responses (Routledge, 2026).
