BEACON will consolidate and advance research on right-wing political ecologies of climate change, security and migration, and right-wing populism, contributing to monitoring and countering tendencies towards ecobordering and eco-fascism through academic-activist collaborations.

Biography

Anna is Professor of Political Geography at the University of Trento. Her interests and expertise revolve around the spatial aspects of power relations, the relationship between conflict and space; borders and migration; bodies and space within a structural framework of power, inequality, violence; critical geopolitics studies, right-wing populism and environmental injustice. She teaches courses on the geographies of (in)security and the critical geographies of the Anthropocene. She has been the President of the Association for Borderland Studies and she is part of the Steering Committee of the Commission on Political Geography of the International Geographical Union.
