BEACON will consolidate and advance research on right-wing political ecologies of climate change, security and migration, and right-wing populism, contributing to monitoring and countering tendencies towards ecobordering and eco-fascism through academic-activist collaborations.

Biography

Hanna is Professor of Literature and Distinguished Academic Educator (Merittert Underviser) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and an affiliate of the Human Rights Institute at SUNY Binghamton. She publishes on socioenvironmental justice, literary and transmedia aesthetics, and critical pedagogy, with emphasis on site-specific environmental storytelling, civic engagement, rights, and migration. Musiol regularly collaborates with grassroots, artivist and diasporic ensembles and co-organizes city-scale curatorial, public environmental humanities and art initiatives. She is involved in several environmental research and transmedia storytelling projects: Narrating Sustainability, ANEST, ENVIROCEN, Poetry without Borders, Against Research Monoculture, and CIRCUL’ARTs.
