Ana Cabana Iglesia is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
She holds a PhD in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Extraordinary Doctorate Award, 2006). She is a member of the Centro de Investigación Interuniversitario de los Paisajes Atlánticos Culturales (CISPAC), co-director of the Cátedra Juana de Vega and member of the Society for the Study of Agrarian History (SEHA).
Her main lines of research are the study of social attitudes during the Franco dictatorship, the analysis of rural conflict during the Franco regime and the transition to democracy, and the history of women and gender in relation to rural society in the 20th century.
