Michael Larkin is Professor of Psychology in the School of Psychology at Aston University, where they are affiliated with the Applied Health Research Group and the Aston Institute of Health & Neurodevelopment. Their research focuses on how people make sense of and cope with difficult or distressing experiences, with particular attention to the role of relationships — with professionals, peers, and family — in shaping those processes.
