This project brings together academics and activists working on anti-street harassment projects - those designed to combat gender-based harassment in public spaces - in London and Cairo to initiate new research examining the nature and consequences of everyday transnational security practices.

Biography

Jutta Weldes is Professor of International Relations at the University of Bristol.

Her main research interests are international relations and security theory and US foreign policy during and after the Cold War. She is also interested in interpretive and especially discourse analytic methods. She is co-editor of the Routledge book series "New International Relations".
