Isabel is a Research Assistant for the Oxford Martin Programme on Changing Global Orders primarily focusing on the history of food security and political economy. She is a DPhil student in Modern European History at Lincoln College, University of Oxford and a Visiting Researcher at the SCRIPTS cluster of excellence at the Free University of Berlin. Her research focuses on the history of ‘green capitalism’ in 20th Century Germany which lies at the intersection of intellectual, economic, and environmental history.

Isabel has published her work in academic outlets such as the Journal of Contextual Economics and is currently editing a volume focusing on the history of neoliberal environmental thought. She is the recipient of the Hanseatic Scholarship and was selected to be a part of the Europaeum Scholars Programme in 2022.
