Knowledge Production on the Post-Yugoslav Space: Consequences and Opportunities

This project focuses on the politics of knowledge production regarding the post-Yugoslav space in International Relations (IR) and other social sciences. It entails support for the work of a collective of women scholars of and from the post-Yugoslav space, working in Global North academia, and support for the creation of a wider network of scholars of/from the region working in this domain.

Biography

Elena Stavrevska is a feminist peace scholar, focused on questions of intersectionality and political economy in conflict-affected societies, with specific interest in the post-Yugoslav space and Colombia.

Elena holds a PhD in Political Science and an MA in International Relations and European Studies from Central European University (CEU). During her doctoral studies, she worked as a work-package coordinator and researcher on the EU-funded project Cultures of Governance and Conflict Resolution in Europe and India, a co-lecturer, and a teaching assistant. She was also a visiting doctoral fellow at the Trudeau Centre for Peace, Conflict and Justice at the University of Toronto and a Study Programme on European Security fellow, coordinated by the Institut für Europäische Politik in Berlin and funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
