Digital Social Science Forum

2015-16

The Digital Social Science Forum aimed to bring together innovative figures, working at the cutting edge of research in their own fields, in order to develop an interdisciplinary space within which the Digital Social Sciences can thrive. The intention was to encompass a core forum, a wider network, regular events, a digital resource, support for early career researchers and initiatives which aim to develop connections with journalists, policy makers, activists, artists and other relevant groups.

The focus was the fundamental questions which risk being obscured by the rush to embrace computational techniques in the social sciences. In keeping with the ISRF’s objectives, the forum aimed to promote inter-disciplinarity in order to bring together varied methodologies from across the social sciences, explore implications and develop innovative approaches to work in the future.
